Life360 has more than 500 (and growing!) remote-first employees. For more information, please visit life360.com.

Life360 is a Remote First company, which means a remote work environment will be the primary experience for all employees. All positions, unless otherwise specified, can be performed remotely (within the US and Canada) regardless of any specified location above.

We are AI Native

We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.

Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.

About The Team

Life360 is building the family ads platform, and the Ads Operating Group is where that business gets built. We are a combined org spanning Product, Ads Sales & Marketing and Ads R&D, with a mandate to grow a high-value, privacy-safe ads business at the intersection of location intelligence and family life. The Product team moves fast, operates with a builder’s mindset, and is creating infrastructure, partnerships, and revenue that didn’t exist before. This role sits at the center of that build, connecting what we make to how we win in the market.

About the Job

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own and scale our programmatic advertising exchange and SSP capabilities within Life360’s growing Ads business. This role combines deep operational ownership, strategic product leadership, and hands-on collaboration across Engineering, Programmatic, Sales, and Partner teams.

You will be the primary product owner responsible for the stability, performance, and evolution of our exchange. This includes managing day-to-day exchange operations, guiding backlog and roadmap execution, partnering closely with Engineering on delivery, and working directly with supply and demand partners to drive optimization and growth. You will also own Ad Quality, both on the Exchange and on the L360 app. You will balance short-term operational needs and revenue impact with long-term platform scalability, reliability, and market competitiveness.

This is a highly cross-functional role in a fast-moving, technically complex environment. Success requires comfort with ambiguity, strong judgment in prioritization, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around clear product direction.

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $137,000 to $200,000 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is $158,500 to $185,000 CAD. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own exchange operations and performance by serving as the primary product owner for exchange-related issues, integrations, and reliability, ensuring ongoing stability and rapid resolution of incidents in partnership with Engineering and Programmatic stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic product leadership by defining and maintaining the product vision and roadmap for programmatic and exchange offerings, aligning priorities with company goals, market trends, and leadership direction.
  • Drive monetization and exchange optimization by applying expertise in supply and demand dynamics, auction mechanics, pricing, formats, and partner mix to improve performance and scalability.
  • Own and evolve programmatic integrations across OpenRTB, Prebid (client and server), and Google Open Bidding, ensuring high-quality bid flow, measurement, and partner performance across Web, Mobile, and CTV.
  • Manage product-related partner relationships by supporting SSP, DSP, and technology integrations, troubleshooting complex issues, driving post-integration optimization, and acting as an internal advocate for partner needs and constraints.
  • Drive future-looking platform investments by evaluating industry shifts, including AI-driven buying and selling protocols, ensuring Life360 remains well-positioned as the ad tech ecosystem evolves.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Business Development teams to ensure alignment, clear communication, and effective execution.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management within AdTech, with deep familiarity with programmatic advertising, SSPs, exchanges, and supply and demand dynamics.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Deep familiarity with programmatic advertising and standards, including OpenRTB, Prebid (client-side and server-side), and Google Open Bidding (including troubleshooting, optimization, and integration best practices).
  • Experience working with header bidding and auction dynamics (latency, timeouts, bid caching, floors, demand routing, identity/consent signals, and win-rate optimization) across Web, Mobile, and CTV.
  • Proven track record of owning complex, high-scale platforms where operational excellence, reliability, and monetization are critical to business success.
  • Strong ability to lead in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, balancing short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering teams on technically complex systems, including backlog ownership, sprint execution, and tradeoff decision-making.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating across cross-functional teams such as Programmatic, Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, and Legal.
  • Ability to assess business and revenue impact quickly, prioritize effectively, and drive clear decisions during incidents and high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and align both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using data to guide prioritization, optimization, and strategic planning.
  • Experience representing a company externally with partners and at industry events, and staying current on market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

Our Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for US employees). We offer life and disability as well as supplemental plans for medical and dental for Canadian employees.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program in the US and RRSP with DPSP plan for Canadian employees.
  • Paid parental leave
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Generous time off: flexible PTO, companywide holidays throughout the year plus summer and winter shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment.
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership Tile trackers

Product Senior Product Manager, Benefits at Remote

Senior Product Manager owns the vision and roadmap for benefits infrastructure, managing integrations, cost systems, and unifying benefits administration across multiple employment products.

Senior Remote Posted about 4 hours ago RemoteFirstJobs Product
What this role involves

About Remote

Remote is solving modern organizations’ biggest challenge – navigating global employment compliantly with ease. We make it possible for businesses of all sizes to recruit, pay, and manage international teams. With our core values at heart and future focused work culture, our team works tirelessly on ambitious problems, asynchronously, around the world. You can find Remoters working from 6 different continents (Antarctica left to go!) and all of our positions are fully remote.

With Innovation as one of the core values, we have built Automation and AI capabilities into the requirements for every role.

We encourage every member of the Remote team to bring their talents, experiences and culture to the table to help us build the best-in-class HR platform.

If you are energetic, curious, motivated and ambitious, be part of our world. Apply now and define the future of work!

What this job can offer you

Benefits at Remote is becoming the provider-agnostic, payroll-correct, compliance-monitored infrastructure layer that sits underneath every way Remote employs someone — Employer of Record, global payroll, PEO — and, increasingly, underneath any external HR system a customer brings. It stops being a standalone module people click through and becomes a layer other systems build on top of: invisible when it works, indispensable when it doesn’t.

Near term, this is a deeply integration-heavy role. You’ll take over a live, high-stakes book of work: migrating benefit costs onto a unified payroll system across multiple carrier and broker paths, standing up retirement plan administration for US global payroll, building provider-agnostic cost ingestion so any customer can bring their own broker or carrier, making benefits data flowing out of clients’ own HR systems land correctly in payroll, and resolving benefit-cost data-integrity incidents that touch real employee paychecks. This is hands-in-the-data work: reconciliation logic, eligibility files, settlement thresholds, migration sequencing.

Longer term, this is a full-scope experience and unification role. As Remote consolidates fragmented, product-by-product benefits tooling into one administration platform, one cost-ingestion pipeline, and one source of truth, you’ll own the vision and roadmap for making benefits behave consistently everywhere — the same primitives (offers, costs, enrollment, providers, statuses) working the same way across 90+ countries and across Employer of Record, global payroll, PEO, and HRIS-connected customers alike. You’ll also own how that layer shows up for non-human consumers — APIs and agent-facing tooling — not just for people in a UI.

This is a senior, high-autonomy role reporting into Product leadership, with regular exposure to Engineering, Payroll Operations, Partnerships, Finance, and Legal/Compliance.

What you bring

  • Proven experience as a product manager owning complex third-party integrations (API and file/EDI-based)
  • A provider-agnostic mindset: you default to ingesting a customer’s existing reality, and anticipating their future needs (their broker, their carrier, their HRIS) rather than forcing them onto a fixed set of embedded partners.
  • Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is required. You must be able to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code/prototypes, not just write specs.
  • Comfort designing for systems as well as humans — you think in APIs and agent-facing tooling, not just dashboards, and can justify a feature by whether it makes a pay run more correct or compliant, not just whether it “feels complete.”
  • Judgment to make both strategic calls (what to consolidate, what to prioritize, what to explicitly stop doing) and tactical ones (scope of a given integration) under real deadline pressure.
  • Excellent async written communication — you’ll drive alignment across Engineering, Payroll Operations, Finance, Partnerships, and Legal without relying on meetings.
  • Bonus: Experience negotiating or managing commercial partnerships, not just technical integrations, as well as experience in related domains benefits, HR technology, payroll, insurance technology, or fintech

Nice to have

  • Strong technical fluency: you can read a data-mapping spec, reason about sync and reconciliation logic, and hold your own in a design conversation with engineers about idempotency, settlement thresholds, or migration sequencing.

Key responsibilities

Own the Benefits infrastructure strategy — near-term integrations, long-term unification

  • Drive the roadmap for how Remote connects to carriers, third-party administrators, benefits administration platforms, and customers’ own HR systems — deciding where we build deeper integrations, where we consolidate, and where we offboard partners that no longer fit.
  • Own the longer-term shift from fragmented, product-specific benefits tooling toward one administration platform, one cost-ingestion pipeline, and one consistent experience across Employer of Record, global payroll, and PEO.
  • Break strategy into a roadmap that’s legible to engineering, operations, and leadership, and keep every investment tied to one bar: does it make a pay run more correct, keep Remote compliant, or help win or retain a customer.

Lead complex, cross-functional integration delivery

  • Drive initiatives such as migrating benefit costs onto a unified payroll system across multiple carrier and broker paths, standing up retirement plan administration, building provider-agnostic cost ingestion (bring-your-own-broker), and making benefits data from clients’ HR systems land correctly in payroll — from design through go-live.
  • Own test planning, end-to-end validation, and go-live readiness for these migrations, partnering closely with engineering.
  • Run the standard process for activating new countries and partners end to end: requirements, integration, carrier onboarding, and rollout.
  • Enable sales and implementation on benefits processing and set up - via AI tools to support workflows and code-connected agents to verify provider availability, system behavior and expected outcomes.

Build a seamless benefits experience across products

  • Own the vision for consistent benefits behavior across Employer of Record, global payroll, and PEO, and for customers who bring their own HR system, so cost, eligibility, and enrollment data flow the same way regardless of employment model or where the data originates.
  • Push proactive, systematic compliance monitoring as a real product surface rather than something discovered when a regulator or customer flags it.
  • Identify and close the gaps that today force teams or customers to reconcile benefits data manually across products.

Own data integrity across partner integrations

  • Be the escalation point for benefit-cost data incidents (e.g. under-collection, discrepancies between offer and payroll), driving root-cause analysis, remediation, and durable fixes rather than one-off patches.
  • Champion systemic tooling — discrepancy reporting, unmapped-cost alerting, reconciliation infrastructure — so issues surface before they hit employees or payroll.

Manage the partner portfolio

  • Own the full lifecycle of benefits partners: sourcing and evaluation, technical integration, performance monitoring, and offboarding when a partnership is sunset.
  • Partner with the Partnerships team on commercial terms and represent Product as the technical subject-matter expert with carriers and platforms.

Communicate and align

  • Evangelize the roadmap and process changes across Product, Engineering, Payroll Operations, Finance, and Partnerships.
  • Lead by example on asynchronous, transparent collaboration.

Practicals

  • You’ll report to: Director of Product, Payroll
  • Team: Product Management
  • Location: Any location, any timezone

Application process

  1. Interview with recruiter
  2. Interview with hiring manager
  3. Live Session
  4. Team Interview
  5. Bar Raiser interview
  6. Offer + Employment Verification Checks

Sutherland

Unlocking digital performance. Delivering measurable results

Job Description

About the Role

Connect is one of the premier and fastest selling products at Sutherland, providing a full omni-channel, Contact Center as a Service solution for our clients. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Delivery Manager to join our growing team and drive the delivery of Connect products and services through the full development lifecycle.

The Product Owner sets product vision and roadmap direction. From that point the product is yours through delivery: shaping requirements into a solution that can actually be built, making the trade-off calls that decide what ships and what defers, driving the build, running QA and UAT, and getting the product released and ready to deploy. Client deployments are run by the project management organization, and you support them as the product authority. At times this team carries the deployment directly. This is not a coordination role. You are expected to apply product judgment on scope, design, and release readiness, and to carry the professional standing that earns you the respect of engineering, operations, and clients.

Real contact center expertise is essential. You will make product and delivery decisions daily on omni-channel routing, telephony, agent desktop, recording, reporting, and integration behavior. You need to know how a contact center runs well enough to recognize when a design will not hold up against real routing, peak volume, or a failover, and to make that case to engineering. Candidates must have delivered products or capabilities on a contact center platform.

You will join a team of Product Delivery Managers reporting to the Head of Product Delivery. Delivery work is shared across the team, so you will coordinate with your peers on dependencies, shared components, release trains, and release order, and help shape the standards the team works to. The role has no direct reports and depends on working effectively across architecture, engineering, QA, project management, implementation, and operations. This is a remote position based in the United States. The team works US business hours, primarily Eastern Time and extending to Pacific Time, and that must be your normal business day. This role cannot be worked as an offset shift from another region.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Intake & Delivery Planning

  • Take product direction and priorities from the Head of Product Delivery and shape them into a delivery plan, including where the approach has to change to hold up in a live contact center.
  • Review requirements for clarity, completeness, testability, and feasibility. Take gaps, conflicts, and ambiguities back to the Head of Product Delivery and resolve them before work starts.
  • Break requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria that development and QA can work from.
  • Size and phase the work with engineering, set milestones and release targets, and identify dependencies, assumptions, and risks up front.
  • Coordinate with peer Product Delivery Managers on cross-product dependencies, shared components, and release order.
  • Separate client-specific configuration from core product capability, and flag anything that would change product direction for the Head of Product Delivery.
  • Escalate scope, capacity, or timeline conflicts to the Head of Product Delivery with options and a recommendation.

Design & Build

  • Own execution for your assigned products and features: scope, schedule, quality, and dependencies.
  • Work with solution architects and engineering leads to turn approved requirements into functional and technical designs, and test those designs against real routing, agent workflow, telephony, recording, and reporting behavior.
  • Act as product owner for the scrum team: maintain the backlog, clarify requirements, clear roadblocks, and accept completed work against the acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain accurate delivery status and raise risks, issues, and blockers early with a recommended course of action.
  • Make the scope calls inside a release: decide what ships and what defers based on defect risk, client impact, and production readiness.

QA, UAT & Release

  • Set test scope, strategy, and entry and exit criteria with QA, and confirm coverage against the documented requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Run defect triage and prioritization, push fixes and retests, and track defect trends against the release date.
  • Plan and lead user acceptance testing with internal and client stakeholders and obtain UAT sign-off.
  • Own the product release plan with engineering and operations, including environment readiness, rollback, and go / no go criteria for putting the product into service.
  • Give the Head of Product Delivery a go or no go recommendation supported by test results, open defects, and known risk.
  • Support the project management organization on client deployments as the product authority, and lead the deployment directly when this team carries it.

Release & Deployment Support

  • Produce the release package the deployment teams work from: release notes, configuration and technical documentation, runbooks, and internal readiness sessions.
  • Hand the product to operations, support, and the project management organization with escalation paths, known issues, and supportability documentation.
  • Act as the product escalation point once deployments are in the field: answer design and configuration questions, and own resolution of product defects found during rollout.
  • Stay engaged through hypercare on the product side, working with operations and support until production issues and post-release fixes are closed.
  • Turn production performance, defect trends, and delivery lessons into roadmap direction and bring it back to the Head of Product Delivery, and manage delivery of enhancements, maintenance releases, and version upgrades.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on contact center technology experience across voice, email, chat, SMS, social, web, video, and mobile.
  • 5+ years in product delivery, delivery management, product ownership, or technical project management for software products.
  • Hands-on delivery or configuration experience on at least one major contact center platform: Genesys, NICE, Cisco, Avaya, Five9, Amazon Connect, or Twilio Flex.
  • Working knowledge of how contact center components fit together: ACD and routing, IVR and self-service, CTI and agent desktop, dialer and outbound, call recording, screen recording, quality management, workforce management, and reporting.
  • Experience with contact center integrations: CRM and ticketing, screen pop, APIs and webhooks, SIP and carrier connectivity, and reporting feeds.
  • Experience planning and executing production releases into live 24x7 customer-facing environments, including go-live, rollback, and go / no go decisions.
  • Working knowledge of QA practice: test strategy, defect triage and prioritization, release criteria, and UAT.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery, using Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment contact centers operate in, including PCI-DSS, TCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and call recording consent.
  • Prior experience reviewing and analyzing contact center solutions, and recommending design improvements and roadmap direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including reporting to leadership and translating between business and technical audiences.
  • Sound judgment under pressure: able to weigh incomplete information and make a defensible call rather than escalate every decision.
  • Strong analytical skills and the discipline to track dependencies, defects, and commitments without losing sight of the release goal.
  • Takes accountability for delivery outcomes and product quality.
  • Effective in a fast-paced hybrid Agile environment with shifting priorities.
  • Builds durable working relationships across engineering, QA, operations, and client teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Delivery experience in a BPO or outsourced contact center environment, with multi-client and multi-site deployments.
  • Experience delivering AI and automation into a contact center: virtual agents, conversational IVR, agent assist, speech and text analytics, or intelligent routing.
  • Experience delivering CCaaS capabilities in a multi-tenant, cloud-native environment.
  • Prior time inside contact center operations, such as a supervisor or workforce role, alongside technology delivery.
  • Relevant certifications such as CSPO, CSM, SAFe, or PMP, or a platform-specific contact center certification.

Product Pendo: Director, Customer Growth & Lifecycle

Director owns full customer lifecycle from onboarding to expansion, designs data-driven engagement programs, and leads a team of adoption managers.

Lead Remote Posted 8 days ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Raleigh, NC / New York, NY / EST Remote

The Team + The Role

Pendo is rebuilding for the AI era, with new products, new buyers, and new ways to deliver value to customers. The Customer Growth and Lifecycle function sits at the center of that shift, helping turn customer engagement into a deliberate, repeatable, compounding growth motion. This team connects product usage, customer behavior, experimentation, and lifecycle programs to help customers get more value from Pendo.

As Director, Customer Growth & Lifecycle, you will own the lifecycle motion from first login to fully embedded power user. You will design the experiments, programs, and data-driven interventions that make engagement intentional rather than accidental, using Pendo’s own platform and analytics to understand what moves adoption, retention, and expansion. You will also lead a team of approximately five Adoption Managers and Pendo’s Center of Excellence / Product Operations function.

This is a role based in-office in Raleigh or New York, or Remote in the East Coast.

What this looks like day-to-day

  • Customer lifecycle ownership: Build, iterate, and optimize the full digital customer journey from onboarding through expansion. You will start with functional lifecycle infrastructure and make it more measurable, scalable, and compounding.
  • Behavior-to-action strategy: Use Pendo’s own analytics to identify where users find value, where they drop off, and which interventions move the needle. You will scope and prove your own work rather than waiting on an analyst to define the opportunity.
  • Scaled Pendo-on-Pendo execution: Act as one of Pendo’s most important internal practitioners of the product. Design and ship cross-channel experiments across in-app guides, email, NPS, segmentation, and other lifecycle channels that show customers what great product engagement looks like.
  • Roadmap influence: Bring front-line visibility into customer behavior directly into product conversations. Your insights will help shape feature decisions and improve how Pendo builds for adoption, retention, and expansion.
  • Team leadership: Develop and lead a team of approximately five Adoption Managers while also guiding Pendo’s Center of Excellence / Product Operations function. You will set direction, coach the team, and raise the operating ceiling while staying close to the work.

Who You Are

Beyond the qualifications, we hire through a specific lens. These aren't buzzwords; they're the things we'll actually look for in how you talk about your work.

You're a builder, not a maintainer.

You're most energized when there isn't a clear path yet, and you get to define it. You don't wait for direction; you identify gaps, shape solutions, and drive them forward. At Pendo, great Directors of Customer Growth & Lifecycle don't just follow instructions; they operate as strategic advisors, influencing decisions, guiding stakeholders, and elevating how we work.

You're AI-curious - genuinely.

You're not using AI tools occasionally. You're rewiring how you work around them. You're faster, sharper, and more prolific because of it, and you bring that energy to everything — how you approach your work, how you prep, how you communicate, how you think. We want someone who sees AI as a multiplier, not a shortcut.

Must-haves

  • 7+ years of experience in product growth, lifecycle design, or growth marketing in software.
  • Experience running lifecycle or growth programs in a product-led SaaS company where the end user and economic buyer are different people.
  • A proven track record of moving product adoption and retention metrics, including clear examples of programs you shipped and the measurable impact they created.
  • Experience building and leading a team of growth or lifecycle professionals focused on the customer journey.
  • Strong data fluency, including the ability to scope, query, analyze, and prove the impact of your own work without creating an analyst dependency.
  • Hands-on experience with experimentation, including forming hypotheses, testing quickly, learning from results, and shipping improvements.
  • Power-user experience with Pendo.
  • Daily use of AI tools, with a clear point of view on where they accelerate growth, lifecycle, and customer engagement work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing lifecycle programs that connect digital onboarding, product usage, retention, and expansion.
  • Experience using customer conversations alongside behavioral data to understand motivation, friction, and value realization.
  • Experience influencing product roadmap decisions through customer behavior insights and lifecycle learnings.
  • Experience leading a Center of Excellence or Product Operations function.

What this role involves

Why Thunderbird?

Thunderbird is one of the world’s most trusted open-source email applications, empowering more than 20 million people globally. At MZLA, the team behind Thunderbird, we build privacy-respecting communication and productivity tools that help people manage their digital lives while staying in control of their data.

We are open source by design. Our products are developed transparently and in collaboration with a global community of contributors, and that same spirit shapes how we work: collaboratively, inclusively, and with a shared commitment to putting users first.

We are a small but growing company of 60+ people distributed across seven countries. As Thunderbird evolves beyond a single desktop application, we are expanding across desktop, mobile, paid services, and new product experiences that help people and organizations work more effectively without giving up control to big tech ecosystems.

Our revenue model combines user donations, which help keep Thunderbird’s apps freely available, with paid services that cover the costs of hosted offerings while supporting long-term sustainability and continued innovation.

A note about MZLA and Mozilla: MZLA Technologies Corporation is the nonprofit-owned company behind Thunderbird and part of the Mozilla family. MZLA is separate from Mozilla Corporation and has its own compensation programs, benefits, and employment policies.

The opportunity

Thunderbolt is an open-source, cross-platform AI product initiative from the team behind Thunderbird. It is being built around a clear principle: people and organizations should be able to use AI while staying in control of their data, infrastructure, model choices, and long-term options. Thunderbolt is designed to support flexible deployment models, integrations with AI tools and workflows, and use cases across desktop, web, and mobile.

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering execution, people management, and operating practices for Thunderbolt as it moves from R&D incubation into a more mature product and enterprise development phase. This role will help the team define what production-ready means at this stage: stronger release discipline, clearer ownership, higher user-facing product quality, stronger engineering practices, and a more scalable operating model.

This is a hands-on technical management role for a seasoned engineering leader who has helped early-stage products become reliable, production-ready, and enterprise-ready. You will manage and grow a small senior engineering team, stay close to code quality and technical execution, and partner closely with product and technical leadership to turn an open-source, privacy-respecting AI product into something organizations can deploy with confidence.

We are looking for someone who has seen this stage before: a promising early product, a small senior team, real enterprise interest, incomplete process, and the need to move quickly without creating fragile systems or one-off customer work.

What you’ll do

  • Lead engineering execution by clarifying priorities, ownership, timelines, risks, dependencies, and quality expectations.
  • Manage engineers and contractors, including coaching, feedback, prioritization, performance support, and team development.
  • Stay close to the codebase by contributing code, reviewing technical work, evaluating tradeoffs, and helping the team maintain momentum and quality.
  • Partner with technical and product leadership to turn product direction, AI strategy, user experience goals, and technical priorities into coordinated engineering plans.
  • Establish planning, review, release, and follow-through practices that improve predictability and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, reliability, security awareness, maintainability, and release readiness.
  • Build strong product and architectural context across AI-enabled workflows, integrations, local-first or customer-controlled architectures, and release requirements.
  • Partner across product, design, enterprise-facing teams, and technical leadership to balance speed, user experience, privacy, quality, enterprise readiness, and long-term sustainability.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and resource planning as the Thunderbolt engineering team grows.
  • Help Thunderbolt scale from an incubation-stage product into a reliable, enterprise-ready open-source AI product.

What you bring

  • 15+ years of professional software development experience, including significant experience in senior engineering leadership or complex product delivery roles.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical teams, including senior engineers or senior individual contributors.
  • A track record of leading a team that shipped polished, top-tier products held to a genuine standard of craft.
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous product and technical direction into clear plans, ownership models, and delivery momentum.
  • Technical fluency with AI-enabled products, including the ability to evaluate tradeoffs across areas such as LLM applications, RAG workflows, agents, enterprise search, automation, on-device AI, or AI evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex applications across multiple platforms, such as desktop, web, and mobile, using technologies such as Tauri, Electron, React Native, or comparable frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise software, regulated environments, or similarly complex technical products, including security, privacy, compliance readiness, administration, integrations, and customer-controlled deployment models.
  • Practical experience with local-first, offline-capable, self-hosted, hybrid, on-premise, air-gapped, or other customer-controlled product architectures, including tradeoffs related to data storage, sync, privacy, reliability, and user experience.
  • Experience improving engineering practices related to technical planning, code review, release readiness, testing, documentation, CI/CD, maintainability, or technical debt management.
  • Excellent communication skills around technical prioritization, release risk, ownership, quality expectations, and tradeoffs.

Bonus points for

  • Experience working in open-source or maintainer-style engineering environments.
  • Experience with compliance or security standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience helping take a product from zero to one in a startup or new product initiative.

What success looks like

Success in this role means helping Thunderbolt make the leap from promising R&D-stage product to a production-ready, enterprise-grade open-source AI product that security-conscious organizations can deploy with confidence. Within the first year, the Senior Engineering Manager should help turn a fast-moving early product into a team and engineering system that can scale by helping the team:

  • Define what “production-ready” means for Thunderbolt and consistently meet that bar.
  • Create the clarity, ownership, and release confidence the team needs to ship quickly and sustainably.
  • Raise the quality of the user-facing product experience while protecting codebase health, maintainability, privacy, and security.
  • Build the lightweight structure needed for a senior team to do its best work without slowing down experimentation.
  • Help build Thunderbolt for global scale, enterprise adoption, and real-world impact!

Product Lifecheq: Associate Product Manager (Remote)

Associate Product Manager executes product initiatives focused on adviser productivity, managing feature development, metrics instrumentation, experiments, and feature rollouts.

Junior Remote Posted 9 days ago We Work Remotely — Programming
What this role involves

Headquarters: Western Cape, Cape Town, 8000 South Africa

About Lifecheq

Lifecheq is transforming financial advice and insurance distribution across emerging markets through our cutting-edge technology platform. As Africa's largest advice platform, we empower over 8,000 financial advisers to deliver holistic, personalised financial planning to the underserved mass affluent market.

Our holistic financial advice platform has achieved remarkable results in driving record adviser productivity for our partners. Backed by leading investors, we're expanding across Africa and Southeast Asia – with a mission to create one million sustainable middle-income jobs for financial advisers.

The Opportunity

Own the execution of initiatives that drive adviser productivity - moving more advisers from the mid band into the productive band, and keeping productive advisers there.

What You'll Do

Work with your Group Product Manager to translate product strategy and experiment priorities into well-scoped tickets, timelines, and delivered features.

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the adviser productivity funnel - know how many advisers are in each band, what is moving them up, and where they are getting stuck.

Develop and maintain a view of your key metrics and build instrumentation into the products you manage so you have an ongoing view of performance; know when a number looks wrong before it is flagged to you.

Gather ongoing feedback from advisers and managers directly; build the observational habits to understand where the pipeline is failing and bring findings to the Group PM with a point of view, not just a summary.

Own the alert and nudge pipeline end to end - template creation, regulatory approval submissions, staging tests, production deployment, and delivery quality - ensuring advisers receive the right recommendations reliably.

Manage rollout logistics for new features: determine sequencing, verify adviser access across branches and regions, and troubleshoot activation issues.

Set up experiment infrastructure as directed by the Group PM - cohort assignment, data feeds, template creation, tracking configuration - and take responsibility for data quality and delivery reliability throughout the experiment window.

Compile clean experiment data packages for the Group PM to analyse and interpret; manage the operational handoff when successful experiments move to production.

Work with lead engineers to coordinate delivery sequencing, dependencies, and deployment schedules; maintain a well-groomed backlog with clear acceptance criteria and flag risks early with a proposed solution attached.

Take responsibility for the business outcomes of the initiatives you run: if adviser productivity is not moving, understand why and bring a plan to address it.

Ensure automated reports are accurate and distributed reliably; maintain product analytics dashboards and coordinate data logistics with external partners.

What We're Looking For

  • You have a four-year degree or equivalent
  • You are an analytical, data-driven, critical thinker who can unpack a problem clearly, develop and communicate a hypotheses, frame experiments and test them rigorously
  • You have had some exposure to a commercial or customer facing role; you are very open to interacting with customers and financial advisers regularly, and are passionate about using technology to solve problems
  • You can communicate well with team members and stakeholders on deliverables and approach, demonstrating the ability to communicate and listen appropriately depending on the audience. We expect a good grounding in effective written communication in a technical context

Who We Are

Nirvana is on a mission to modernize commercial insurance and enable a safer world. Our AI-driven technology platform delivers modern insurance and risk management to help our customers protect their businesses and to improve the safety of their operations.

  • Talk to customers, brokers, and underwriters to understand what they need and prioritize the problems worth solving.

  • Shape the longer-term vision, starting with pricing and extending across the product suite over time.

About You

  • 4-7 years experience in Product Management or equivalent roles, ideally shipping 0-1 products.

  • Strong quantitative skills. You’re comfortable living in data and numbers, you notice when something is off and you dig into why.

  • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal. You can present to customers and internal audiences like underwriting and explain a complicated decision simply.

  • Bias-to-action. you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and do what needs to be done.

  • Owner mentality. You take accountability end-to-end, especially in the messy middle where data, models and systems meet.

  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & dynamic start-up environments.

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.) preferred. MS, PhD, or MBA is a plus.

Preferred:

  • Experience building products where pricing or risk models directly drive revenue: insurance, lending or marketplaces
