BlueVoyant is seeking a Manager, Security Operations Center (SOC) to lead a growing SOC organization of roughly 60 employees, playing a critical role in protecting client relationships and driving retention.

This is a client-facing leadership role responsible for shaping how customers experience the SOC — from escalation handling through the metrics and reporting that inform leadership decisions. The role carries strong potential for growth into a higher-level leadership position as the team and business scale, making it a great fit for an ambitious leader who wants to build and shape a growing organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Team Leads, Trainers, and Security Analysts, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management
  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for ensuring all SOC customers receive world-class service
  • Own the management of customer escalations, with the primary goal of client retention, partnering closely with Client Success on remediation plans and client communication
  • Provide oversight and management of Team Leads and the wider Analyst team, ensuring consistent quality and performance across the SOC

  • Oversee operations in deterring, identifying, monitoring, investigating, and analyzing network intrusions
  • Supervise complex event investigation and incident declaration, ensuring events are properly identified, analyzed, and escalated to incidents
  • Ensure the team’s incident investigation, handling, response, and documentation meet quality and SLA standards
  • Assist in the advancement of security policies, procedures, and automation
  • Develop incident response reporting and policy updates as needed
  • Partner cross-functionally with Client Success, Content Engineering, Threat Hunt, and Product leadership to drive service improvements and represent the SOC’s priorities
  • Develop and maintain SOC performance metrics, delivering regular reporting on team performance, incident trends, and customer outcomes to leadership
  • Regularly communicate with customer IT teams to inform them of issues, help them remediate, and ensure continued business as usual
  • Maintain a strong awareness of the current threat landscape

What You’ll Bring:

  • Ability and willingness to commute to the College Park, MD office 2–3 days per week
  • ​​​​​​​Experience working within a global organization, partnering with distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones

  • Advanced experience with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix systems

  • Strong knowledge of: SIEM, Packet Analysis, SSL Decryption, Malware Detection, HIDS/NIDS, Network Monitoring Tools, Case Management System, Knowledge Base, Web Security Gateway, Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Virus, Network Access Control, Encryption, and Vulnerability Identification

Nice to Have:

  • Experience partnering with or managing teams based in the Philippines
  • ​​​​​​​Experience in network/host vulnerability analysis, intrusion analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, or related areas

About the Role:

The position is responsible for performing audits within Information Technology for the purpose of ensuring compliance with external regulations as well as internal policies.  It will also communicate audit findings to multiple stakeholder groups.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with audit team members as well as members of IT to develop audit objectives, engagement scopes, and testing strategies aligned with departmental standards and risk priorities.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of IT audit engagements, including SOX ITGC testing, risk-based technology reviews, and issue validation procedures. Assist in the department’s risk assessment processes, providing qualitative/quantitative analysis over the Company’s auditable entities, and ensuring alignment with audit stakeholders.
  • Analyze and summarize data to identify control deficiencies, process inefficiencies, or noncompliance with policies, procedures, or regulations. Communicate findings and recommendations to audit leadership and business stakeholders in a clear manner. Utilize data analytics to test large datasets, identify anomalies, and draw insights that enhance audit efficiency and coverage.

The Associate Director, Information Security Strategy & Analytics is a senior people leader who partners with the ISRM leadership team and CISO to define and document the function’s strategic direction while leading the team responsible for security reporting and analytics. This role translates business priorities, risk insights, and hard security data into insights that drive strategic decisions, while owning the platforms and reporting capabilities that make those strategies measurable.

This role has three defining requirements: seasoned security practitioner depth, the ability to communicate strategy and data clearly and credibly to executive audiences, and a proven track record leading technical or analytical teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the metrics and reporting team, including hiring, performance management, talent development, and defining the team’s portfolio, processes, and ways of working.
  • Partner with security domain leaders to develop impactful cross-functional reporting that gives leadership clear insight into security posture, operational health, and program value.
  • Collaborate with ISRM leadership and portfolio management to define ISRM’s strategic direction, including strategic priorities, target state, and multi-year roadmap, grounded in threat and risk insights, key metrics, business priorities, and delivery realities.
  • Own ISRM’s strategic narrative by developing and maintaining strategy documentation, executive communications, and leadership presentations that clearly articulate direction and value to stakeholders and partners.
  • Lead the process of translating ISRM’s strategic priorities into annual planning inputs, including LRP and capital planning submissions, ensuring investment rationale is clearly tied to execution roadmaps.
  • Own and mature ISRM’s data lake and reporting platforms, ensuring they deliver consistent, accurate, and timely data to support leadership decision-making.
  • Own and mature the semi-annual cyber business review process, delivering periodic cybersecurity performance reporting to business executives.
  • Track ISRM’s security maturity progress against frameworks such as NIST CSF, ensuring assessment results are reflected in strategic priorities, roadmap inputs, and remediation planning.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of experience; OR Master’s Degree and 8 years of experience; OR PhD and 4 years of experience.
  • Respective years of relevant technical security roles (e.g., security architecture, security engineering, cyber defense).
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, including direct management of senior individual contributors in technical or analytical functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in information security strategy, security program leadership, or security transformation within a large, complex organization.
  • Strong experience developing and/or maintaining complex, cross-functional reporting targeted at executive leadership.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to present and influence at the CISO and senior leadership level.

  • Strong working knowledge of corporate security domains (e.g., security architecture, AppSec, security operations, GRC, TPRM) and the ability to build trust with the leaders of those programs.
  • Experience with security maturity frameworks such as NIST CSF, including translating findings into strategic priorities and remediation plans.

Preferred:

  • 6+ years in relevant technical security roles (e.g., security architecture, security engineering, cyber defense).
  • Experience in a security strategy, chief-of-staff, transformation, or metrics leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with software development, data engineering, or security engineering.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience developing multi-year security roadmaps, service strategies, operating model materials, or investment cases.

The Security team at Asana is responsible for protecting Asana’s employees, users, and customers. We build innovative safeguards to ensure that our data is protected against threats and that we comply with legal, regulatory, and customer requirements while collaborating closely with teams across the organization. Reporting to Asana’s Head of Global Privacy, Data Protection, and Compliance, as a founding member of the Privacy Engineering team, you will shape how we build privacy into our products from the ground up—bridging the legal, regulatory, and technical dimensions of privacy across the company.

This role can either be fully remote depending on which US state you live in, or based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule.
